In 2002, Preservation Warrenton produced A Driving Tour
of Warren County brochure that includes about 70 entries
on its map.
The county is so large and the points of interest so
many that it is divided into areas from which a tourist
may choose to shorten the trip. The brochure was chosen
by the North Carolina Society of Historians for the prestigious
Paul Green Multimedia Award in 2002. The judges commented
that the brochure is "expertly produced and contains a
wealth of information". It takes a driver into every nook
and cranny of Warren County....."a phenomenal project
that will benefit many for a long time to come". The brochure
has been called the mother of all tour guides.
The full brochure is available for a contribution. Copies are available locally at area businesses or you may contact Preservation Warrenton to obtain your copy of
