Proposed Park at Macon & Main Street

Preservation Warrenton is pleased to announce receipt of a significant donation in property from James C. Harris of Warrenton. This property, located at the corner of Macon and Main Streets, is where the Milano’s restaurant formerly stood. Working behind the scenes in recent months, Preservation Warrenton has been considering options to beautify the empty lot created from the building fire in May of 2020.

Now, Preservation Warrenton encourages the public to join in naming the parcel and in creating a unique and vibrant public space. Feedback may be provided to Preservation Warrenton via Google Surveys (https://forms.gle/iLpRyM5xxw7L7viC7). Names already put forth include:

• Macon & Main
• Warrenton Park
• Warren Place
• Warren Corner
• The Intersection
• The Commons
• Other?

Use of the park will include an extensive green space, outdoor seating, outdoor eating area with picnic tables and spaces for up to two food trucks.
